The Sikkim State Legal Services Authority was constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 as a separate establishment vide Notification No. 2/LD/98 dated 09.04.1998 in terms of Section 6 of Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 read with Rule 3 of Sikkim State Legal Services Authority Rules, 1995.
